Antwaine Wiggins recorded a double-double and College of Charleston beat in-state rival Charleston Southern 70-68 on Saturday night.

Charleston (9-1) has won five straight games this season and the last four matchups with Charleston Southern (6-3).

Wiggins led Charleston with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Reserve Anthony Stitt also had 16 points and Andrew Lawrence chipped in with 14 in his fourth straight double-digit scoring game.

Lawrence also added five assists and four blocks.

Charleston led by as many as nine before Charleston Southern tied the game, 68-68, with 45 seconds left behind a Kelvin Martin layup. But Wiggins scored with 11 seconds to play to seal the victory for the Cougars.

Wiggins is nine points short of becoming the 29th player in school history to reach 1000 career points.

Arlon Harper led Charleston Southern with 18 points and Martin finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and five steals.
