Andrew Goudelock scored 16 points to lead the College of Charleston to a 67-48 win over Western Carolina on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the Southern Conference tournament. Goudelock was 4-for-7 from 3-point range to lead the Cougars (25-7), who hit 10 of 20 from beyond the arc. Tony White Jr. scored 12 points and Jeremy Simmons added 11. Western Carolina (16-15) was aiming to make its first appearance in the SoCon semis since 1999, but the College of Charleston used an early 14-2 run to pull ahead 21-7 and led 35-19 at the break. Brandon Giles and Jake Robinson scored 10 points apiece for the Catamounts. The College of Charleston will play Davidson in Sunday's semifinals. The teams split during the regular season, with Davidson winning 79-75 in Charleston on Dec. 29 and the Cougars winning 77-75 at Davidson on Feb. 7.
