Anthony Raffa scored 24 points and Chad Gray added 21 to help Coastal Carolina hold off Charleston Southern in an 81-77 win on Saturday.

The Chanticleers (26-4, 16-2 Big South Conference) set a school record for the most conference wins with 16. Dexter Moore finished with 13 points, Sam McLaurin had eight points and 11 rebounds, and Danny Nieman added seven assists.

Coastal Carolina controlled the first half, leading by as many as 17 points. But the Chanticleers saw their lead trimmed to four points with 1:16 left to play when Charleston Southern's Jamarco Warren made two free throws.

The Buccaneers pulled within four points on a couple other occasions, but six free throws from Raffa down the stretch helped Coastal Carolina build enough cushion for the win.
