David Holston scored 21 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead Chicago State to a 94-84 win over Longwood on Monday night. Chicago State's entire starting lineup scored in the double digits, including Mike Wilson with 17 points, Carl Montgomery with 14, John Cantrell with 13 and Tawrence Walton with 10. The Cougars (16-12) took a comfortable 52-34 lead into intermission and kept things up in the second half, extending their lead to as many as 23 points with 11:38 remaining. Longwood came within seven points with 42 seconds left, but Chicago State surged ahead with shots by Cantrell and Holston. Both teams shot 40 percent from the floor, while Chicago State hit 36-of-45, or 80 percent, of its free throw attempts. Ryan Bogan scored 21 points for the Lancers, followed by Dana Smith with 18 and Billy Robinson Jr. with 13.
