BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) Braylon Rayson sank five 3-pointers and finished with 27 points to lead Central Michigan to a 79-67 win over Bowling Green on Saturday.

Rayshawn Simmons added 17 points and Chris Fowler had 14 while dishing out eight assists for Central Michigan (8-7, 1-1 Mid-American), which hit 51 percent of its 47 shots from the field to pick up its first road win of the season. John Simons contributed 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Central Michigan pulled away midway through the second half with an 11-2 run, sparked by a pair of Rayson's 3-pointers, to make it 57-44. Bowling Green's Rasheed Worrell later sank a 3-pointer to trim the gap back to single digits, 73-64, with 2:10 to play, but that was as close as the Falcons (10-5, 1-1) got the rest of the way.

Spencer Parker led Bowling Green with 15 points and Worrell finished with 13.
