MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) Central Michigan's scheduled basketball game against Western Michigan on Friday night was postponed to Saturday morning because of an early morning shooting on the Central Michigan campus.

The game will be played at Northwood University in Midland, Michigan, 30 miles from the Central Michigan campus. The Mid-American Conference said the game will be closed to the public, with the exception of family members.

The game, scheduled to started at 11 a.m., is the regular-season finale for both schools. The conference tournament begins Monday.

''I'd like to thank Northwood University for making their facilities available to us,'' CMU athletics director Michael Alford said in a statement. ''We had long discussions today about how best to ensure the game is played without getting in the way of events on our campus.''
