Central Michigan beats Arkansas-Pine Bluff 75-43

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) Braylon Rayson had 18 points and Central Michigan started its season 4-0 for the first time since the 2000-01 season, beating Arkansas-Pine Bluff 75-43 on Sunday.

Rayson was 4 of 6 from 3-point range and the Chippewas were 15 of 33. Rayshawn Simmons added 10 points and Chris Fowler had eight assists to move past Peter Lambropoulos into sixth place on the CMU's career assists list.

The Chippewas used a 15-0 run to take a 27-8 lead midway through the first half. Pine Bluff (1-4) cut the deficit 37-26 early in the second and got no closer from there.

Central Michigan has won all its games by double digits so far this year.

Pine Bluff was only 1 of 13 from 3-point range. Jovaughn Love led the Golden Lions with 16 points and Tevin Hammond scored 12.
