Cannon hits NEC milestone in 66-51 St. Francis Brooklyn win

NEW YORK (AP) Jalen Cannon scored 29 points and grabbed 11 boards in becoming the Northeast Conference's all-time rebounding leader, and St. Francis Brooklyn beat Wagner 66-51 on Saturday.

Cannon has 1,039 career rebounds, passing Justin Rutty of Quinnipiac, who totaled 1,032 from 2007-11. Cannon, a senior, has 41 career double-doubles. Amdy Fall added nine points and four blocks.

A 12-0 run, including 10 points by Cannon, gave the Terriers a 55-36 advantage and the lead would remain in double digits.

With the win, St. Francis Brooklyn (16-9, 10-2) remains alone atop the conference standings.

Marcus Burton led the Seahawks (8-15, 6-6) with 13 points and Mike Aaman grabbed 11 rebounds.

Cannon had 13 points and five rebounds in the first half as the Terriers shot 50 percent to 24.2 for Wagner to take a 35-26 lead.

St. Francis Brooklyn ended up at 46.7 percent and Wagner 26.3.
