Kwame Vaughn had 27 points and nine rebounds and D.J. Seeley added 23 points to lead Cal State Fullerton to a 92-86 victory against Portland State on Thursday night.
Isiah Umipig scored 16 points and Omondi Amoke had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Titans (8-3), who won their fifth in a row. That is their longest winning streak since 2007-08, when they qualified for the NCAA tournament.
Charles Odum had 19 points to lead six players scoring in double figures for the Vikings (6-6). Lateef McMullan added 14 points, Renado Parker and Chehales Tapscott 12 each and Michael Harthun and Martin Whitmore 10 apiece.
Vaughn was vital during a 22-12 run during a 5:20 second-half stretch that gave Cal State Fullerton control. He scored 12 points - on three fast-break baskets, a 3-pointer and three free throws - during the surge, which gave the Titans an 84-69 lead with 5:44 remaining.
