Cal Poly holds off UC Davis 58-53

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) Reese Morgan scored 15 points and made six free throws in the final 25 seconds to help Cal Poly hold off UC Davis 58-53 on Thursday night.

Josh Martin scored 11 and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Mustangs (10-15, 4-8 Big West), who outrebounded the Aggies 46-26.

Siler Schneider scored seven for the Aggies, bringing his season total to 241, a school Division 1 scoring record for a true freshman.

Trailing by three at halftime, the Aggies twice rallied to lead by two in the second half, but the Mustangs pulled ahead for good 33-30 on Luke Meikle's 3-pointer.

Darius Graham's 3-pointer with 10 seconds left pulled the Aggies within 56-53, then he fouled Morgan, who made both free throws to seal it. The Aggies missed two field goals in the final seconds.

Graham scored 14 points, Josh Fox added 12 and Neal Monson grabbed 10 rebounds for the Aggies (10-15, 5-7), who have lost three straight.
