Mitchell Watt scored 28 points and Zach Filzen had a big second half in Buffalo's 84-74 victory Saturday over Miami (Ohio) in Mid-American Conference action.

Mitchell hit 11 of 16 field goal attempts, grabbed five rebounds, made four assists and blocked three shots for the Bulls (17-9, 10-4). Javon McCrea added 12 points and Filzen 16, 13 in the second half.

Julian Mavunga led Miami (Ohio) with 20 points. Jon Harris and Brian Sullivan scored 16 and 14 points, respectively.

The teams were tied 33-33 at halftime.

Filzen scored 13 of his 16 points in the game's last 10:48. With the score tied at 51-all, the guard hit two treys, sandwiching them around Dave Barnett's 3-pointer to make it 60-53.

Miami (9-18, 5-9) got within four, but Filzen hit two foul shots, then a trey for a 66-60 lead. His last two free throws made it 77-64 with 1:36 left.
