LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) Cameron Ayers scored 22 points and Bucknell avenged a loss to Army earlier in the season with a 73-61 win on Saturday night.

Bucknell (12-13, 7-7 Patriot League) closed the game on an 18-9 run, which included nine straight points from Ayers, to pull away from Army (12-13, 8-6).

Ayers hit a 3-pointer to break a tie at 52 and Bucknell did not surrender the lead from that point forward. John Azzinaro and Brian Fitzpatrick added 3-pointers to open a 61-54 lead, and Army couldn't cut the deficit to fewer than six points the rest of the way.

Bucknell hit 7 of 8 free throws over the final 1:32 to preserve the win as Army struggled to score down the stretch.
