Cameron Ayers tied his career high with 23 points and Bucknell shot 70 percent from the field in the second half to rally for a 79-65 win over Richmond on Saturday night.

The Bison (7-4), who will play at No. 1 Syracuse on Tuesday, trailed 31-27 at halftime before hitting 14 of 20 field goals and 19 of 19 free throws in the second half.

Ayers finished 8 of 9 from the field and 6 of 6 from the line. Mike Muscala had his fifth double-double of the season with 22 points and 12 rebounds, making 8 of 10 field goals and 6 of 6 foul shots.

The lead changed 13 times before Bucknell pulled ahead for good at 45-44 with 11:36 to play. The Spiders (6-5) were still within striking distance, at 62-55 with 4:11 left, before a 5-0 Bison run.

Darien Brothers led Richmond with 18 points.
