Darryl Shazier scored 15 points to lead Bucknell to a 73-68 victory over Columbia on Wednesday night.

Cameron Ayers added 14 points as the Bison (3-6) defeated Columbia (3-4) for the first time since 2002 to halt a three-game losing streak.

Bucknell led throughout the second half despite shooting 24.2 percent from the field (8 for 33) in the final 20 minutes.

The Bison led 68-58 on Joe Willman's layup with 1:02 left, before the Lions rallied with two 3-pointers and cut the margin to 72-68 on Brian Barbour's layup with 6 seconds remaining.

Bryan Cohen's free throw gave Bucknell the final margin.

The Bison shot 85.2 percent from the free throw line (23 for 27) in the game.

Willman scored 13 points and Cohen added 11 for Bucknell.

Steve Frankoski scored 12 points, Dyami Starks and Noruwa Agho added 11 points each, and Brian Barbour scored 10 for Columbia.
