Sean McGonagill scored a season-high 27 points as Brown beat Central Connecticut State 90-80 on Saturday.

Brown (5-7) entered the second half trailing by six, 35-29, before Kyle Vinales sank a 3-pointer to extend Central Connecticut State's lead to 38-29. But McGonagill's 3-pointer on Brown's next possession sparked a 16-6 run and helped the Bears take their first lead of the game, 45-44.

Central Connecticut State (5-4) would watch Brown extend that lead to 17 points behind three straight 3-pointers by Jean Harris.

Brown's second-half run lasted 11 minutes and it outscored the Blue Devils 36-10 during the span.

Harris and Stephen Albrecht each scored 17 points. McGonagill, Albrecht, Andrew McCarthy and Dockery Walker all recorded over seven rebounds for the Bears.

Ken Horton had 30 points and 15 rebounds and Vinales added 28 points for Central Connecticut State.

Brown shot 58 percent from the field (29 of 50).
