Brooks lifts Morgan State over Robert Morris 67-66

Aric Brooks hit two free throws with 13 seconds left to give Morgan State a 67-66 win over Robert Morris on Thursday night.

The Colonials' Felton Jones missed a layup with 1.3 seconds to go.

Dewayne Jackson scored 25 points to lead the Bears (5-6), who were coming off a 104-74 loss at No. 22 Louisville on Dec. 27.

Morgan State won its first game against the Colonials (4-8) in three tries.

The Bears led 63-54 with 1:24 to play, but Robert Morris used a 12-2 run to take the lead with 22 seconds to go on a Lijah Thompson dunk.

Brooks then hit his free throws to finish with 13 points.

Morgan State shot 37.5 percent from the field (21 of 56) while Robert Morris shot 40 percent (22 of 55). The Bears hit 23 of 30 free throws to the Colonials' 20 of 27.

Karon Abraham led Robert Morris with 14 points and Russell Johnson had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
