John Holland scored 24 points as Boston University beat Iona, 63-57, on Saturday, despite blowing a 17-point first-half lead. BU (15-12) outscored the Gaels 14-5 over the final 9:19, and held Iona no field goals in the last six minutes. BU freshman Jake O'Brien scored 14 of his first 17 points in the first half and blocked two Iona shots late. The Terriers won despite turning the ball over 21 times. Gary Springer and Milan Prodanovic scored 12 points each to lead Iona (12-16). The Gaels trailed, 30-13, with 5:24 left in the first half before scoring 13 straight points to get back in the game, and eventually take the lead. BU's Corey Lowe scored only three points, but they came on a 3-pointer with 9:19 left that tied the game at 52, and started the Terriers' late run.
