Joe Trapani scored 21 points and Biko Paris added 16 to help Boston College beat South Dakota State 75-58 in the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam on Saturday night. Boston College (3-1) jumped out to a 17-6 lead in the first 6 minutes and led by 15 with 6:29 left in the first half before the Jackrabbits (2-2) closed to nine at the half. South Dakota State came within six points three times early in the second half, but Trapani hit consecutive 3-pointers to make it 52-40 and the Jackrabbits couldn't get within single digits the rest of the game. Boston College shot 53.7 percent from the field, including going 11-for-20 (55 percent) from behind the arc. Anthony Cordova scored 18 points to lead the Jackrabbits.
