Binghamton beats Mount St. Mary's 62-53, snaps 5-game skid

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) Willie Rodriguez had 19 points and 13 rebounds and Binghamton beat Mount St. Mary's 62-53 on Tuesday night to snap a five-game losing streak.

Rodriguez was 5 of 11 from the field, and made eight free throws with three assists and a steal. Everson Davis added 18 points and Justin McFadden chipped in 12 for Binghamton (3-9).

BK Ashe scored 10 points to lead Mount St. Mary's (3-10), which has lost four straight and is 0-9 on the road.

Khalid Nwandu made a pair of free throws to pull Mount St. Mary's to 45-42 with seven minutes left. The game was scoreless for nearly three minutes before Rodriguez converted a 3-point play, sparking a 17-11 surge to seal it for the Bearcats. Davis made 6 of 7 free throws and Rodriguez scored four points down the stretch.
