Adrien Coleman scored 24 points and added three steals in Bethune-Cookman's 62-44 win over Florida Christian on Thursday night.

Bethune-Cookman (1-2), which entered halftime with a 29-21 lead, opened the second half on a 26-18 run to take a 55-39 lead with 5:45 left to play. Coleman, who scored 16 of his 24 points in the second half, scored nine straight points during the spurt. His free throw with 14 seconds remaining created the final margin.

Kevin Dukes and Garrius Holloman scored nine points apiece for Bethune-Cookman. Holloman also added nine rebounds.

A.J. Williams scored 14 points and Kenny Blanc recorded 10 points and 14 rebounds to pace Florida Christian (3-3).

Bethune-Cookman, which tallied 15 steals, scored 23 points off turnovers and 20 fast-break points compared to just two fast break points for Florida Christian.
