Belmont holds on to beat Lipscomb 82-77

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Craig Bradshaw, who finished with 29 points, made four free throws in the final 39 seconds to give Belmont an 82-77 win over Lipscomb on Monday night.

Belmont held a 74-61 lead with 3:42 remaining when Lipscomb had a 9-0 run and Josh Williams nailed a 3-pointer with 48 second left to trail 76-73. J.C. Hampton made a jump shot and layup to close to 79-77 with 11 seconds remaining. Bradshaw's final three free throws sealed the win.

Reece Chamberlain and Evan Bradds had 13 apiece for Belmont (4-1).

Belmont held a 41-27 halftime advantage but were outscored in the second half 50-41. The Bruins took only took 19 shots in the second period, making 13. They were cold from the free throw line in the second half, making only 9 of 23 attempts (39.1%).

Martin Smith and Malcolm Smith had 21 points apiece for Lipscomb (2-3).
