Former Rhode Island coach Jim Baron has agreed to take the vacant Canisius job, CBS Sports reported Sunday, citing sources.
A press conference is scheduled for early in the week to announce the move.
Baron, 58, replaces Tom Parrotta, who was fired after Canisius went 5-25 last season.
Baron was let go by Rhode Island after a 7-24 campaign. He had a 184-165 record across 11 seasons at the school.
