NEW YORK (AP) De'von Barnett scored seven of his 11 points in the final 2:31, including the go-ahead basket with 2.7 seconds left, and Sacred Heart closed on a 16-4 run to beat Fordham 71-70 on Wednesday night.

Barnett's 3-point play with 43 seconds left pulled the Pioneers within one and Sacred Heart (3-4) forced a turnover at 17 seconds to set up Barnett's game-winning layup. That was the Pioneers' first lead of the second half.

Sean Hoehn stole Antwoine Anderson's inbounds pass to secure the win.

Sacred Heart scored 11 straight to tie it at 66 on Barnett's jumper with 2:31 left. Fordham (5-3) scored all of its final four points on one trip, partly due to a technical foul assessed to the Pioneers' bench with 2:01 left.
