Ashe with 19, leads Mount St. Mary's over Wagner 74-64

EMMITBURG, Md. (AP) Byron Ashe scored 19 points to lead four in double figures as Mount St. Mary's beat Wagner 74-64 on Saturday.

Mount St. Mary's (15-14, 11-7 Northeast Conference) will host Saint Francis (Pa.) and Wagner (10-19, 8-10) travels to Robert Morris to tip off the NEC tournament on Wednesday.

Mount St. Mary's had a 12-point lead early in the second half before Wagner used a 10-2 run to pull within 47-43 with 11:58 left. Ashe hit back-to-back 3s, sparking a 13-2 surge to make it 60-45 and the Mountaineers cruised from there.

Will Miller and Andrew Smeathers scored 11 points apiece, and Junior Robinson chipped in 10 for the Mountaineers, who shot 28-of-60 from the floor (46.7 percent) and were 9 of 9 from the line.

Mike Aaman scored 21 points to lead Wagner.
