JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) Brandon Reed scored 16 points to lead Arkansas State over NAIA member Lyon College 65-39 on Tuesday.

Arkansas State (17-9, 9-5 Sun Belt Conference) had some trouble with Lyon early, as the teams were tied at 21 with 7:39 left in the first half after a Kendrick Washington layup. But the Red Wolves turned it on from there, scoring the next 12 points and took a 31-24 lead into the break.

ASU used a 22-3 run at the start of the second half to completely take over the game. Lyon went 1 of 13 during the stretch and scored just 15 points after intermission.

Ed Townsel had 14 points for Arkansas State. Washington and Kirk Van Slyke added 11 points apiece.
