Rashad Allison scored 18 points, including four 3-pointers, to boost Arkansas State to a 69-57 victory over South Alabama on Thursday night.

After falling behind early 9-8, the Red Wolves (6-8, 1-0 Sun Belt) scored nine straight points and never trailed again. They led by as many as 16 late in the second half.

Donald Boone added 13 points for the Red Wolves while Trey Finn scored 10 and Martavius Adams pulled down 13 rebounds.

Martino Brock led the game in scoring with 21 points for the Jaguars (6-6, 0-1) and Augustine Rubit picked up a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Arkansas State shot better from the floor, making 43.1 percent compared to South Alabama's 39.1.
