Arkansas-Pine Bluff gets by Grambling State 66-64

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) Tevin Hammond stole the ball and made a go-ahead layup with 8 seconds remaining as Arkansas-Pine Bluff came back to take a 66-64 victory over Grambling State Saturday night.

Hammond, who finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and seven steals, stole the ball again with 4 seconds left to seal the victory.

Marcel Mosley had 12 points and Davon Haynes added 10 for Arkansas-Pine Bluff (5-15, 3-5 Southwestern Athletic Conference).

The Golden Lions held a 45-31 advantage with 16:23 remaining in the game. Grambling State (1-16, 0-8) had a 15-5 run to close 50-46 at the 11:50 mark. Steven Danridge made a layup to give Grambling a 64-62 lead with 1:09 left. Hammond then made two free throws to tie the score and won it with a layup.

Terry Rose led Grambling with 19 points, A'Torri Shine added 12 and Antwan Scott finished with 11.
