Savalance Townsend scored 17 points to lead Arkansas-Pine Bluff over Grambling State 69-61 Saturday night. Townsend shot 6-of-8 from the field and made three 3-pointers for the Golden Lions (11-16, 10-6 Southwestern Athletic Conference). UAPB led 37-23 at halftime. Ariece Perkins led Grambling State (6-20, 4-11) with 17 points. Terrance Calvin added 17 points and Tyree Glass scored 10 for UAPB, which shot 52 percent from the field and had 21 assists and 21 turnovers.
