Terrence Hill and LA Farmer scored 19 points apiece and Arkansas-Monticello defeated Centenary 82-70 on Wednesday night.

Ricardo Hall added a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds and Jerell Boswell chipped in 15 points, including 12 on 3s for the Division II Boll Weevils (1-0).

Arkansas-Monticello shot 51 percent from the field (25 of 47) and scored 32 points in the paint in the debut of coach Allen Sharpe.

The Boll Weevils opened the second half on a 7-1 run to lead by as many as 21 points with 14:37 left to play.


Centenary, which was 6 for 26 from 3-point range (23.1 percent), cut the lead to 61-52 with 6:44 to go, but couldn't get any closer.

Jeron Trotman had a double-double for the Gentlemen (0-3) with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Roman Tubner scored 21 points and Maxx Nakwaash added 12 for Centenary.
