Andre Williamson scored 16 points, including Appalachian State's last five, as the Mountaineers overcame a 12-point deficit and then held off Campbell 77-74 Thursday night to snap a four-game skid.

A Williamson layup gave Appalachian State (5-6) a 75-71 lead with 1:02 to play. Marvelle Harris answered with a layup, then with 4.4 seconds left missed the second of two free throws that could have tied it at 75.

Williamson rebounded and knocked down two foul shots with 3.1 seconds remaining.

Lorne Merthie's deep 3-pointer at the buzzer missed to the right and the Camels (8-5) suffered their second straight loss in the final seconds. On Monday, UNC Wilmington claimed a 67-65 win on a tip-in with 1.4 seconds to play.
