Updated Mar. 4, 2020 10:01 p.m. ET

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) Chattanooga has added Iowa transfer Andrew Fleming to its roster.

The Mocs announced Fleming's addition Tuesday in a university release. Fleming will sit out the 2016-17 season due to NCAA transfer rules before becoming eligible to play for his new team in 2017-18.

Fleming played 11 games for Iowa as a 6-foot-5 freshman this past season and averaged 2.2 points in 7.3 minutes. Iowa announced March 31 that Fleming had been granted a release to transfer.

Chattanooga coach Matt McCall praised Fleming's ability to play multiple positions and said in a statement that ''he can really, really shoot, but his best aspect is his feel and he's got size.''
