Albany pulls away to defeat New Hampshire 66-48

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) Sam Rowley came off the bench to score 19 points to carry Albany (NY) to a 66-48 win over New Hampshire on Thursday night.

Gary Johnson added 15 points, D.J. Evans 13 and reserve Peter Hooley 12 for the Great Danes (15-13, 9-6 American East Conference).

Jordon Bronner had 14 for the Wildcats (6-22, 4-11).

Albany finished 21 of 25 from the foul line while New Hampshire was 9 of 11.

The Danes led 30-25 at halftime but New Hampshire was down just 45-43 when Bronner made a 3-pointer with 8:40 left. Albany then used an 11-2 surge to get some breathing room. Johnson had six of the points. Then the Danes scored the last 10 points of the game as the Wildcats never scored after cutting it to 48-56 with 4:49 to play.
