A trio of Albany (N.Y.) Great Danes scored 22 points apiece, and the squad overcame a 23-9 game-opening deficit to beat Maryland-Baltimore County 89-72 on Thursday night.

Albany (10-6, 2-0 America East Conference) won for the fifth time in its last six outings. The team's three starting junior guards - Mike Black, Logan Aronhalt and Gerardo Suero - tallied 22 points apiece.

Albany clawed back from the early hole by converting 15 of 20 free throw attempts in the first 20 minutes. The Great Danes outscored UMBC 31-10 over the last 10 minutes of the opening half to take a 51-40 lead at intermission.

UMBC's Chase Plummer posted a career high in scoring for the second consecutive night. After tallying 23 points in the UMBC (2-12, 1-1) 82-76 win at New Hampshire on Monday, the sophomore led all scorers with 25 points, despite fouling out in 20 minutes of action.
