Zeke Marshall scored 20 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked five shots as Akron defeated North Carolina A&T 79-52 on Wednesday night for its fourth consecutive victory.
Brian Walsh had 15 points for the Zips (7-5) and Nikola Cvetinovic added 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Akron closed the first half with a 16-3 run to take a 40-32 lead at the break. After starting the second half with a dunk by Marshall, the Zips held double-digit leads for all but 30 seconds the rest of the way.
Nic Simpson had 13 points to lead the Aggies (4-9), who have lost their last six, but he made just 2 of 10 shots. North Carolina A&T shot 20.8 percent (5 of 24) in the second half.
Akron was ready to scoop up those missed shots, outrebounding the Aggies 51-29. Demetrius Treadwell had nine rebounds and Walsh seven.
