Michael Lyons' free throw with 3 seconds to play was the difference as Air Force defeated Evansville 57-56 on Sunday.

Lyons, who scored 20 points to lead the Falcons (5-1), was fouled by Colt Ryan and made the first of two free-throw attempts. After he missed the second try, Evansville got the rebound and called a timeout, but Kenny Harris missed a shot as time ran out.

Ryan, who made a 3-pointer with 1:22 remaining to tie the game at 56, led the Aces (3-3) with 20 points and eight rebounds. Evansville outrebounded Air Force 38-22.

Taylor Broekhuis added 19 points for the Falcons, including a 3-pointer with 1:49 to play that gave Air Force a 56-53 lead.
