Taylor Broekhuis scored a career-high 23 points, Cameron Michael added 18 points off the bench and Air Force won its home opener Thursday, blowing out Western State 102-68.

Michael Lyons chipped in 15 points for the Falcons (3-0), who led almost the entire game. The 34-point final margin was Air Force's biggest lead of the night, and the Falcons shot 52 percent from the floor, made 11 3-pointers and scored 25 points off Western State turnovers. None of the starters played more than 25 minutes.

Terrence Boyd had 15 points off the bench for the Mountaineers (0-2), a Division II program. Joseph Charles added 14, also off the bench.

The Falcons improved to 13-0 at home against Western State and have won the last 18 meetings overall. Western State's only victory in the series was in the schools' first meeting, 57-41 in 1957.
