Salido stuns Lopez to take title

Orlando Salido made sure there was more than one upset in the boxing world Saturday night.
Salido, of Mexico, scored an eighth-round TKO over previously undefeated Juan Manuel Lopez to take the Puerto Rican's WBO featherweight title on his home turf in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
Salido's stunner comes on the heels of Victor Ortiz's decision win over Andre Berto, upsetting the formerly undefeated WBC welterweight champ.
Salido (35-11-2, 23 KOs)knocked down Lopez in the fifth round and was landing a barrage of punches in the eighth when referee Roberto Ramirez put an end to the fight at the 1:39 mark of the round.
The strongly pro-Lopez crowd reportedly was very upset with the stoppage and began to throw things toward the ring. According to reports, Lopez requested a rematch after the fight.
