Bo Groulx - Revenge goal Thursday Groulx scored a shorthanded goal and added three hits in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Ducks.
Impact Groulx was a second-round pick of Anaheim in 2018, but he never established himself with that club. He was able to get on the scoresheet for the first time as a Maple Leafs with a shortie in Thursday's contest, which stood as the game-winner. Groulx had just five points in 65 career NHL games with the Ducks, but he has shown a scoring touch with AHL Toronto this year, logging 50 points in 54 outings.

William Nylander - Seven-game, eight-point streak Nylander scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 6-4 win over Anaheim.
Impact Both came on the power play. Nylander has eight points (five goals, three assists) on his current seven game scoring streak (19 shots). He has three power-play goals and one power-play assist on the streak. Nylander will need to carry the team if Auston Matthews (lower body) is out for long. AM34 left Thursday's game after a dirty knee-on-knee hit from Radko Gudas. He was unable to bear weight on his left leg.

John Tavares - First goal in seven games Tavares scored a power-play goal Thursday in a 6-4 win over the Ducks. He also had an assist.
Impact It was Tavares' first goal in seven games. He had four shots. Overall, he has 23 goals, 31 assists and 161 shots in 66 games this season. Tavares sits eighth among active skaters in career scoring. He has 517 goals, 651 assists and 1,168 points in 1,250 games. Tavares is two points from equaling Bobby Hull (58th all time) and 11 points from Sergei Fedorov, who is 57th.

Joseph Woll - Helps team to first win since break Woll made 36 saves in a 6-4 win over the Ducks on Thursday.
Impact It was Woll's first win since the Olympic break (1-4-0) and Toronto's, too -- they are 1-5-2 in that span. Things won't get easy any time soon. Captain Auston Matthews was knocked out of the game on a dirty hit by Radko Gudas, and his two-way skill will be sorely missed by his netminders.

Matias Maccelli - Eight points in last seven games Maccelli had a goal and two assists Thursday in a 6-4 win over the Ducks.
Impact Maccelli opened the scoring after he stole the puck from Jackson LaCombe at the Toronto blueline, carried the puck through the neutral zone and went low blocker from the top of the right circle. Macelli has eight points (four goals, four assists) in his last seven games, and 32 points, including 18 assists, in 55 games this season.

Matthew Knies - Second four-point game in NHL Knies had a goal and three assists in a 6-4 win over Anaheim on Thursday.
Impact It was Knies' second career four-point game in the NHL. It was his first since Jan. 4, 2025, when he had five points (three goals, two assists) against Boston. Knies and William Nylander (two) are the only two Maple Leafs with multiple four-point games dating back to last season. He now has 55 points (17 goals, 38 assists) in 63 games, and he's on pace to flirt with 70 points this season.
