NHL Announces Major Maple Leafs News Before Stanley Cup Playoffs The Maple Leafs clinched the division, and now the Battle of Ontario is back.

Chris Tanev - No points since return Tanev was held off the scoresheet for the 17th game in a row in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Sabres.
Impact Tanev hasn't registered a point since returning from an upper-body injury that cost him six contests in March. In the 17 games since, he's racked up 38 blocked shots, a plus-4 rating and 12 shots on net, though he didn't block a shot Tuesday. Even with the missed time, Tanev is fifth in the NHL with 189 blocks this season. He's added 17 points, 42 shots on net and a plus-30 rating as a defensive ace in the Maple Leafs' top four.

Scott Laughton - Pockets assist Tuesday Laughton recorded an assist, three hits, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Sabres.
Impact Laughton's offense hasn't been very impressive, but his defensive work has kept him in Toronto's lineup since he was traded from Philadelphia. The 30-year-old Laughton has three points over 19 outings with the Maple Leafs. Overall, he's at 30 points, 122 shots on net, 175 hits, 53 blocked shots and a minus-20 rating over 79 appearances this season. He remains on the Maple Leafs' fourth line.

Calle Jarnkrok - Provides assist Tuesday Jarnkrok notched an assist in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Sabres.
Impact Jarnkrok snapped a six-game point drought when he helped out on Steven Lorentz's opening goal in the second period. Jarnkrok is now at six points, nine shots on net, 15 hits and an even plus-minus rating through 18 appearances. While he's playing consistently, his fourth-line usage is not friendly for fantasy purposes.

Bobby McMann - Generates assist McMann notched an assist, five shots on goal and three hits in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Sabres.
Impact McMann ended his nine-game point drought with his helper on a Nicholas Robertson goal late in the third period. The 28-year-old McMann has found success at times this season, but it's been tougher when he's confined to the third line. He's at 35 points, 172 shots on net, 136 hits and a plus-14 rating over 74 appearances. He'll be a lock to be in the lineup for the playoffs.

Impact His goal came at 18:43 of the third after Auston Matthews potted an empty-net goal that sealed the victory for the blue and white. Robertson has had more than a couple healthy scratches this season, but he's still managed a career high in goals (22 points) in 68 games. It remains to be seen if he will dress in the postseason, though -- his game isn't perfectly aligned to the heavy hockey of the NHL playoffs.

Steven Lorentz - Rare goal delivers win Lorentz scored a goal in a 4-0 win over the Sabres on Tuesday.
Impact His goal stood as the winner. Lorentz beat Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen with a one-timer from the left hash marks at 14:15 of the second period. It was his eighth goal of the season. It was Lorentz's eighth goal of the season (79 games) and his first in seven games. But at the same time, he's been absolutely clutch this season -- five of his eight goals have been game winners.

Anthony Stolarz - Third shutout this season Stolarz made 36 saves in a 4-0 win over the Sabres on Tuesday.
Impact It's the second straight shutout for Stolarz, who stopped 15 shots in a 1-0 overtime win over the Canadiens on Saturday. He's 20-8-3 with three shutouts, a 2.21 GAA and .923 save percentage on the season, and those numbers have him near the top of the NHL stat list for netminders. Stolarz is second in save percentage and fourth in GAA. He's in prime form for the postseason.

Mitch Marner - Hits 100 NHL points for first time Marner scored a goal Tuesday in a 4-0 win over Buffalo.
Impact The goal gave Marner his first career 100-point NHL season. And he became the fourth player in franchise history to hit that mark. Doug Gilmour, Auston Matthews and Darryl Sittler all put up two, 100-point campaigns. Marner is the fifth player to hit the century mark this season, behind Nikita Kucherov, Nathan MacKinnon, Leon Draisaitl and David Pastrnak.
