Xavier Restrepo - NFL News, Rumors, & Updates

Gets added to Titans' practice squad Tennessee signed Restrepo to its practice squad Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Impact Restrepo made Tennessee's initial 53-man roster for 2026, but he was abruptly waived Monday to make room for new acquisitions. Now he's back with the organization as a member of the practice squad, and since the Titans only have five receivers on their active roster, he might be closer to the field than most practice-squad wideouts.

Let go by Tennessee The Titans waived Restrepo on Monday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Impact After surviving the initial 53-man roster cutdown, Restrepo was culled to make room for several new additions to the team off waivers. The wide receiver will now be subject to waivers himself, and if he clears will likely end up with the Titans' practice squad. The second-year player spent his rookie season with the practice squad, being elevated to the active roster for two games where he played 32 snaps and caught three passes for 41 yards.

Impact Restrepo appeared in two games for the Titans in 2025 as a practice-squad elevation, totalling three receptions for 41 yards. The fan favorite has earned a place in the depths of the wide receiver corps and will likely have a shot to mix into starting packages throughout the regular season. Restrepo caught eight of his 13 targets for 97 yards over the Titans' three preseason games.

Staying in Tennessee Restrepo signed a reserve/future contract with the Titans on Monday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Impact Restrepo was not selected by a team during the 2025 NFL Draft, but he opted to follow University of Miami teammate and No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward to the Titans. Restrepo stuck around on the practice squad after failing to crack the 53-man roster at the end of training camp and was elevated to the active roster for Weeks 12 and 13. He caught three passes (on seven targets) for 41 yards over that two-game span and demonstrated that collegiate chemistry with Ward, but the former was carted off the field during the Titans' Week 13 loss to the Jaguars due to an ankle injury. Restrepo will have a whole offseason to develop his skillset and figures to be a dark horse candidate to make the Titans' 53-man roster for the 2026 season.

Practicing Wednesday Restrepo (ankle) will practice Wednesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

Impact The rookie wideout from Miami was carted off the field in the Week 13 loss to the Jaguars due to an ankle injury, but it now appears he's moved past the issue. Although Restrepo remains on Tennessee's practice squad, he could be elevated to the active roster to ensure depth at wide receiver for Sunday's matchup against the Chiefs.

Reverts to practice squad Restrepo (ankle) reverted to the Titans' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Impact Restrepo was elevated to the Titans' active roster for a second consecutive week, and he played 11 of 59 offensive snaps during Tennessee's 25-3 loss to Jacksonville on Sunday. He finished the game with a 15-yard catch late in the fourth quarter, but he suffered an ankle injury during that play that was severe enough for him to be carted off the field. The undrafted rookie out of Miami showed promise in his two regular-season appearances with the Titans, but his ankle injury puts him in jeopardy of missing the rest of 2025.

Carted off field late Restrepo (ankle) was carted off the field toward the end of the fourth quarter of the Titans' 25-3 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.

Impact Restrepo made his NFL regular-season debut in Week 12 and finished with two catches (on six targets) for 26 yards. He was elevated to the active roster to play in Sunday's game and hauled in his lone target for 15 yards, but he suffered a serious ankle injury late, which puts his availability for the rest of the 2025 season in jeopardy.

Elevated Saturday Restrepo was elevated from the Titans' practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Impact The undrafted rookie from Miami will join the Titans' active roster for the second consecutive week ahead of Sunday's divisional matchup against the Jaguars. In the Week 12 loss to the Seahawks, Restrepo received the third-most targets on the team (six), though he caught just two passes for 26 yards. He's likely to play a pivotal role in Tennessee's wide-receiver corps again in Week 13.

NOVEMBER 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Two catches in NFL debut Restrepo recorded two catches on six targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Seahawks.

Impact Restrepo was elevated from the practice squad to make his NFL debut with Calvin Ridley (fibula) and Elic Ayomanor (hamstring) sidelined. He only played 18 offensive snaps (26 percent), though he was targeted heavily by Cam Ward when on the field. Restrepo wasn't efficient with the opportunity, but he will likely continue to get chances down the stretch in a rebuilding season for Tennessee. For the time being, he'll revert to the Titans' practice squad Monday.
