INJURIES

Leading receiver Saturday Hutchinson caught four of seven targets for 34 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Rams.
Impact Hutchinson finished up a strong preseason leading the team in receptions (12), targets (20) and yards (1140. That should put him in consideration for what will be, at most, two available roster spots at depth wide receiver. Hutchinson is battling with John Metchie, Robert Woods, Steven Sims and Ben Skowronek.

Two grabs Saturday Hutchinson caught two-of-four targets for 20 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Giants.
Impact Following a strong showing in the Hall of Fame Game, Hutchinson put together a pair of mediocre outings the subsequent two weeks. He may have entered the game as the leader for the fifth spot on the wideout depth chart, but his main competitor, John Metchie, had a strong game with six catches for 68 yards and a touchdown.

Gets first-half work Hutchinson caught one of three targets for four yards, rushed once for 19 yards and returned a kickoff for 27 yards in Friday's 20-12 preseason win over Pittsburgh.
Impact Hutchinson didn't have the impact as a receiver that he did in the Hall of Fame Game last week, but he was given snaps in the first half, putting him in the mix for one of the final spots on the wideout depth chart. He also ran the ball for the second straight preseason contest, which suggests the Texans view him as a potential weapon.

Impact Hutchinson paced Houston's receivers, catching five of six targets for 56 yards against the Bears. There's a crowd of wideouts looking for the final spots behind the Texans' top three, and Hutchinson's effort at least puts him ahead of John Metchie and on par with Ben Skowronek. It's unclear where Hutchinson sits in relation to Noah Brown (undisclosed) and Robert Woods, both of whom did not play Thursday.

Paces air attack in HOF Game Hutchinson brought in five of six targets for 56 yards in the Texans' 21-17 preseason loss to the Bears on Thursday. He also rushed once for eight yards.
Impact The second-year pro led the Texans in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night with the top receiver quartet of Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins, Tank Dell and Noah Brown (undisclosed) all sitting out. Hutchinson understandably filled a minor role in Houston's air attack as a rookie (8-90 line on 19 targets), but he could conceivably make a case for the No. 5 receiver role to open the season if he outperforms veteran Robert Woods the remainder of the summer.
AUGUST 2, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Remains involved in playoff win Hutchinson caught both of his targets for 12 yards in Saturday's 45-14 wild-card playoff win over the Browns.
Impact Hutchinson received elevated snap counts over the final five weeks of the regular season due to injuries at wideout, but he slipped back to 20 snaps in the playoff win. That was because Robert Woods and Noah Brown (shoulder) returned from injuries. However, Brown left Saturday's game with a shoulder injury and Woods played fewer snaps (15) than Hutchinson. Wideout availability for this week's matchup will be determined over the course of the week. The Texans will be on the road against either Kansas City or Buffalo, Saturday at 3:30 PM ET.
JANUARY 15, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Season-high snap count Hutchinson caught one of four targets for six yards in Saturday's 23-1 win over the Colts in Week 18.
Impact Hutchinson played a season-high 36 snaps, as both Noah Brown (back) and Robert Woods (hip) were inactive. While Houston has dealt with wideout injuries all season, the situation reached a critical mass in Week 18. As such, Hutchinson and John Metchie (38 snaps) took on more prominent roles in the passing games behind Nico Collins. As Houston prepares for its first postseason game since 2019, Hutchinson's potential role depends on the health of Brown and Woods.

Stays healthy in win Hutchinson caught two of three targets for eight yards in Sunday's 26-3 win over the Titans in Week 17.
Impact Hutchinson was on the field for 26 snaps and had one red-zone target in the win. Both he and fellow depth receiver John Metchie benefitted from injuries up the depth chart. Both Noah Brown and Robert Woods were removed from the game with hip injuries. That sets up a Week 18 scenario where Hutchinson is among the top three wideouts when Houston travels to Indianapolis for a game with playoff implications.
JANUARY 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Will not play Sunday Hutchinson (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Broncos.
Impact Hutchinson will be the odd man out with Noah Brown returning from a knee injury. The rookie receiver saw 13 snaps in each of the last two weeks, catching his only target for a 34-yard gain in Week 12. His next opportunity to suit up will be in Week 14 against the Jets.
DECEMBER 3, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Has big play in loss Hutchinson caught his lone target for 34 yards in Sunday's 24-21 loss to Jacksonville in Week 12.
Impact Hutchinson had the Texans' longest play, a 34-yard reception in the fourth quarter on the way to a Nico Collins touchdown. The rookie has been more involved the last few weeks as wideouts further up the depth chart have dealt with injuries. He's on the lower end of the target pecking order, but given the surge of Houston's passing offense the last four weeks -- 367 yards per game, 10 touchdowns -- Hutchinson is available for leftovers behind Nico Collins, Tank Dell. Dalton Schultz and Robert Woods.
NOVEMBER 27, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Keeps running Hutchinson did not catch his lone target and had one carry for 17 yards in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Bengals in Week 10.
Impact Hutchinson has received an uptick in usage while Houston's wide receivers have been unavailable, but he's making a bigger name for himself as a runner. For the second consecutive week, Hutchinson was used as a runner on the opponent's side of the field and lugged the ball inside the 20-yard line. Each drive ended in a Houston touchdown. As the Texans operate without lead back Dameon Pierce, offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik has involved wideouts in the running attack, including Hutchinson and Tank Dell. Hutchinson has four carries for 44 yards over the last four games.
NOVEMBER 13, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Used as runner in win Hutchinson was not targeted and had one carry for 12 yards in Sunday's 39-37 win over the Buccaneers in Week 9.
Impact Hutchinson's 12-yard carry was Houston's longest running play, and he now has three carries for 27 yards for the season. The rookie sixth-round pick has gone six games without being targeted, but he could move up the depth chart after John Metchie (ribs) left Sunday's game.
NOVEMBER 6, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Available Sunday Hutchinson (foot) is active ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Impact The rookie out of Iowa State was limited during Wednesday's practice, but he was able to log consecutive days of full participation both Thursday and Friday. Hutchinson has a chance to see an uptick in snaps on the Texans' offense with Robert Woods (foot) missing time.
OCTOBER 29, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable after full practices Hutchinson (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Impact Hutchinson practiced fully Thursday and Friday after being a limited participant Wednesday, so the rookie is more likely than not to suit up, especially with Houston ruling out another receiver in Robert Woods (foot). Though he played his second-most snaps on offense (12) of the season in the Texans' last game Week 6 versus the Saints, Hutchinson won't necessarily see his role expand coming out of a Week 7 bye. While the Texans will be without Woods, the team will be getting rookie wideout Tank Dell (concussion) back from a one-game absence, leaving Hutchinson no better than fourth in the pecking order at receiver.
OCTOBER 27, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Back to practicing in full Hutchinson (foot) was a full participant at practice Thursday.
Impact After being limited at practice Wednesday, Hutchinson was able to get back up to full speed Thursday. He's on track to play Sunday at Carolina, and if Robert Woods (foot) is sidelined, Hutchinson could see a slight uptick in playing time in Week 8.
OCTOBER 26, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Tending to foot injury Hutchinson (foot) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.
Impact It's unclear at this point when Hutchinson sustained the injury or how severe it is. In any case, he'll likely have to manage a full practice Thursday or Friday to avoid an injury designation going into the weekend.
