Rams vs. 49ers injury report: 2 starters remain sidelined for LA Rams RT Rob Havenstein and TE Tyler Higbee were non-participants for the second straight day.

Impact Higbee has now opened the week with back-to-back days in which he was considered unavailable. The tight end was able to play through his hip injury in the team's Week 4 win over the Colts, and he'll look to return to action in Wednesday's final practice session prior to Thursday's matchup with the 49ers.

He was active Sunday against the Colts and paced Rams tight ends with a 55 percent snap share, ahead of Davis Allen's 29 percent and Colby Parkinson's 28 percent. Overall, Higbee gathered in two of five targets for 25 yards, with Parkinson (2-17-0 on two targets) and Allen (1-0-0 on one target) not far behind him in terms of production. Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen combined for just three catches for 17 yards on their three targets, leaving Higbee as the top option at tight end for the Rams. That role still doesn't translate to much from a fantasy perspective, although a 49ers defense that allowed rookie Brenton Strange and former Ram Hunter Long to combine for a solid 9-68-1 line is next up for the Rams on a short week.

Impact The veteran tight end had put in a full session Wednesday before apparently suffering a hip injury in Thursday's practice and then missing Friday's session, an absence head coach Sean McVay termed a veteran rest day. Higbee indeed will be in uniform Sunday and attempt to get more mileage of his No. 1 tight end role, which thus far this season has only netted a 4-37-0 line on six targets over three games.

Impact Higbee has received at least a 50 percent snap share in all three of the Rams' games this season, but with just four catches (on six targets) for 37 yards and no touchdowns to date, he doesn't hold much sway in terms of fantasy. Fellow TE Colby Parkinson (shoulder) also had a cap on his reps Thursday, which leaves Davis Allen and Terrance Ferguson as the current healthy options at the position on the active roster.

Impact Higbee didn't see a target in Week 1, but he finished third on the team in opportunities in Sunday's win. He was particularly involved early in the contest, as three of his four receptions came on the Rams' first three offensive possessions. Puka Nacua and Davante Adams will dominate targets in the offense, leading to a relatively unpredictable role for Higbee on a week-to-week basis.

Impact For the first time since a Week 9 contest against Green Bay in 2023, the veteran tight end was held without a catch, and failed to even see a target from Matthew Stafford. Higbee was on the field most out of the team's tight ends (35 of 60 snaps versus 29 for Colby Parkinson and 22 for Davis Allen), but Parkinson and Allen recorded catches and Allen scored what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown in the third quarter. It'll be hard to trust any tight end for the Rams in fantasy given the amount of attention Puka Nacua, Davante Adams and Kyren Williams command for the offense, and a Week 2 contest against a Titans defense that held the Broncos' tight ends in check last week doesn't bode well for a potential rebound.
