INJURIES

Good to go Week 12 Eifert (concussion) will play in Sunday's game against the Browns.
Impact Eifert made a speedy trip through the NFL's concussion protocol and will be available Sunday. The 30-year-old tight end has been underwhelming this season, failing to surpass 48 yards in a game and recording just one touchdown so far. Eifert still commands plenty of reps as the No. 1 option at the position, and he could see more looks in passing situations with wide receivers DJ Chark (ribs) and Chris Conley (hip) ruled out.
NOVEMBER 27, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Practices fully Eifert (concussion) practiced fully Thursday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Impact Eifert was limited Wednesday, as he landed in the NFL's concussion protocol. Friday's final injury report of the week will clarify whether the tight end gains full medical clearance for Sunday's game against the Browns or heads into the weekend with a Week 12 injury designation.
NOVEMBER 26, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
In concussion protocol Eifert was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a concussion.
Impact Coach Doug Marrone confirmed that Eifert is in the concussion protocol, with the tight end presumably having picked up the head injury in last week's loss to the Steelers. James O'Shaughnessy missed that game due to a knee issue, so the Jaguars could be severely lacking at tight end if Eifert isn't able to clear the league's five-step concussion protocol in time to play Sunday against the Browns.
NOVEMBER 25, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Totals 32 yards Eifert caught two of five targets for 32 yards during Sunday's 27-3 loss to the Steelers.
Impact The 30-year-old was tied-second on the team with five targets, but there wasn't much production to be had as quarterback Jake Luton needed 37 attempts to pass for 151 yards. Eifert remains Jacksonville's No. 1 tight end, but the fantasy value is minor as he has only 19 catches for 188 yards and one touchdown through nine games.
NOVEMBER 23, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Clear of injury designation Eifert (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Impact The 30-year-old was added to the injury report Thursday with the shoulder issue, but it won't impact his availability for Week 11. Eifert should continue to work as Jacksonville's top tight end, but he's averaging only 2.1 catches and 19.5 yards through eight games, and it's a poor matchup against a stout Pittsburgh defense this weekend.
NOVEMBER 20, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Nursing shoulder injury Eifert was limited in Thursday's practice due to a shoulder injury.
Impact Eifert has regularly had his practice reps managed this season, so as long as he's able to practice in at least a limited capacity again Friday it'll bode well for his chances of suiting up. Backup tight end James O'Shaughnessy (knee) has already been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
NOVEMBER 20, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Hauls in two passes Eifert caught two of four targets for 15 yards during Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Packers.
Impact The 30-year-old was targeted only once heading into the fourth quarter, which resulted in an interception since he slipped while running the route. Eifert continues to operate as Jacksonville's No. 1 tight end, but he's mostly considered a dump-off option in the passing game. He has 17 catches for 156 yards and one touchdown in eight games and remains a touchdown-dependent fantasy option heading into Week 11.
NOVEMBER 16, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Returns to make four catches Eifert caught four of five targets for 48 yards during Sunday's 27-25 loss to the Texans.
Impact Playing his first game in nearly a month due to a neck injury, Eifert set new season highs in catches and receiving yards. He appeared to have a nice rapport with new quarterback Jake Luton as he also tied his season high of 12.0 yards per catch. Despite this solid effort, Eifert is still far from a reliable fantasy asset heading into next Sunday's matchup with the Packers.
NOVEMBER 8, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Full practice Thursday Eifert (neck) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
Impact Eifert got his regularly scheduled rest day during Wednesday's practice, and the veteran tight end has already wasted no time in resuming full reps. He's on track to draw his usual start during Sunday's game against the Texans.
NOVEMBER 5, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Sits out Wednesday's practice Eifert (neck/rest) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.
Impact The 30-year-old tight end was scheduled to take a day off Wednesday anyway, but it's noteworthy because he's dealing with a lingering neck injury. Eifert is expected to be ready for Sunday's game versus the Texans, and he'll have just two practices to fine-tune his chemistry with rookie quarterback Jake Luton, who will be under center instead of Gardner Minshew (thumb).

Should return Week 9 Eifert (neck) is expected to play Sunday against the Texans, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Impact Coach Doug Marrone said last week the veteran tight end should be ready to play after the Jaguars' bye week, and he appears to be progressing as expected. Eifert may still be limited at practice this week, so there shouldn't be much cause for concern unless he's completely absent.
NOVEMBER 2, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Likely to play after bye week Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said Tuesday that he expects Eifert (neck) to be ready to play coming out of the team's Week 8 bye, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Impact The impending bye week may have factored into the Jaguars' decision to hold Eifert out for Sunday's 39-29 loss to the Chargers after the tight end played just five snaps Week 6 against the Lions before aggravating a neck injury. With some extra time to heal up, Eifert should have a good chance at making it back to action for a Nov. 8 matchup with the Texans in Week 9. Through his six starts on the season, Eifert has reeled in 11 of 23 targets for 93 yards and a touchdown.

Sitting out Week 7 The Jaguars list Eifert (neck) as out for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Impact Eifert aggravated a lingering neck injury early in last week's loss to the Lions and hasn't shown much improvement in the days that followed, so the Jaguars will hold him out for the first time all season Sunday. With a bye on tap Week 8, Eifert should have sufficient time to move past the injury ahead of the Jaguars' next game Nov. 8 versus the Texans. Expect James O'Shaughnessy to start at tight end and handle the bulk of the snaps at the position Week 7.
OCTOBER 23, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Downgrades to DNP Eifert (neck) didn't practice Thursday, per the league's official Week 7 injury report release.
Impact Eifert continues to nurse a neck injury sustained Week 5 against the Texans. He began the week as a limited participant Wednesday, so Thursday's complete lack of practice activity could simply be for load management purposes. If Eifert has instead suffered a setback in his recovery and misses Friday's session as well, James O'Shaughnessy could get an opportunity to start against the Chargers.
OCTOBER 22, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Limited during Wednesday's session Eifert (neck) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Impact Eifert suffered a neck injury Week 5 against the Texans but was able to suit up this past Sunday against the Lions. That said, he ended up leaving that game early as well. It's a positive sign that he's still on the field to start the practice week, but considering he already aggravated the injury once, he could be forced to sit out this Sunday's matchup against the Chargers with a Week 8 bye around the corner.

Exits Sunday's game Eifert was forced out of Sunday's game against the Lions due to a neck issue, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.
Impact Next up for the Jaguars' tight end reps in Eifert's absence are James O'Shaughnessy and Tyler Davis. Eifert headed into Week 6 with 11 catches on 23 targets for 93 yards and a TD through five games.
OCTOBER 18, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Good to go Week 6 Eifert (neck) is active for Sunday's game against the Lions, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.
Impact Eifert missed the Jaguars' first two practices of Week 6 due to a neck stinger, but his limited showing in Friday's session was enough for him to take a questionable tag into the weekend. The tight end apparently made enough progress in the subsequent two days to get the green light for Sunday, and he should be in store for a normal workload. Eifert has played between 56 and 68 of the offensive snaps in each of the team's five games to date, hauling in 11 of 23 targets for 96 yards and a score.
