Impact Tony Pollard dominated rushing attempts for Tennessee, tallying 14 compared to Spears' three. Spears did serve as a favorite checkdown option for Brandon Allen, but that resulted in little production. Injuries and a poor offensive environment derailed Spears' third season as a pro, as his 291 rushing yards across 13 games were the fewest of his career. He'll presumably enter the final year of his contract in a backup role to Tony Pollard in 2026.

Impact Spears saw a significant uptick in usage in Week 16 and tallied 105 yards from scrimmage. However, he returned to a complementary role in Week 17, earning only seven touches compared to 20 for Tony Pollard. Spears was also shut down as both a rusher and receiver, and he's now been held below five rushing yards in four of his last seven games.

Impact Tony Pollard led the way in the Titans backfield with 21 carries and a third straight 100-yard game, but Spears made an impact as well as as he handled a season high in carries and touches while reaching 100 scrimmage yards for the first time in 2025, and scoring his first TD since Week 8. With the Titans' offense finally looking at least competent, Spears and Pollard could remain in something close to a timeshare over the final two weeks of the season, including a Week 17 tilt against the Saints.

Impact Spears played his usual No. 2 role behind Tony Pollard, but in what was a rare game script for Tennessee where the ground attack's opportunities weren't capped, the latter outpaced the former by 17 carries and erupted for 161 rushing yards and a pair of scores. That left Spears in a clear complementary role, although his receiving yardage total actually paced the Titans on the afternoon. Spears should continue operating as a clear No. 2 behind Pollard in a Week 15 road trip to San Francisco.
