Returning to SF McGill re-signed with the 49ers on a one-year contract Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Impact McGill will return to a depth role in San Francisco after posting eight tackles in nine appearances last season. The 30-year-old defensive tackle has also suited up for the Colts, Browns, Eagles, Chargers and Vikings in his career.
