Not playing Sunday Atwell (coach's decision) is a healthy inactive for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Seahawks.

Impact For the second week in a row, Atwell will be in street clothes while the Rams move forward with Kontana Mumpfield, Jordan Whittington, Xavier Smith and Mario Williams as their depth options at receiver behind starters Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.

Inactive Sunday Atwell (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's divisional-round matchup against the Bears, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official website reports.

Impact Atwell will take a seat after failing to record any stats while playing 15 offensive snaps in the team's wild-card win over the Panthers. The wide receiver had recorded just two catches on six targets for 28 yards over the Rams' final four regular-season contests and the first round of the postseason, so his absence won't carry much of an impact versus Chicago.

Records 10 snaps on offense Atwell secured one of three targets for 19 yards during Sunday's 37-20 victory against the Cardinals.

Impact Even with Davante Adams (hamstring) out and Jordan Whittington (knee) leaving the game early with injury, Atwell was on the field for just a handful of snaps on offense. The one-year, $10 million deal Atwell signed in the offseason will leave the speedster as an unrestricted free agent after the postseason, and he'll do so after his worst statistical season since his rookie year with the Rams in 2021. Atwell played just 10 games this season and caught six of his 15 targets for 192 yards and a touchdown, a stark drop from 2024 when he finished with a 42-562-0 receiving line over 17 games. Even if Adams and Whittington are unavailable for Saturday's Wild Card matchup with the Panthers, Puka Nacua, Konata Mumpfield and Xavier Smith will likely record the bulk of work at receiver, leaving Atwell in his typical role as a scarcely used deep threat.

Rams face questions about their mentality after dismaying loss to Atlanta extends their late slump

Typical usage in loss Atwell failed to secure his only target during Monday's 27-24 loss to the Falcons.

Impact The only target that Atwell managed to earn during his 13 snaps on offense came late in the fourth quarter on a deep ball from Matthew Stafford that bounced off of Atwell's outstretched hands. In his three games back from injury, Atwell has recorded a total of just 25 snaps on offense and only one catch for nine yards, keeping him well off the fantasy radar with the regular season finale against the Cardinals up next in Week 18.

Light duty in first game back Atwell secured one of two targets for nine yards during Sunday's 41-34 victory against the Lions.

Impact In his return from a six-game absence due to a hamstring injury, Atwell took the field for just four plays on offense, but managed targets on half of them. Konata Mumpfield has had an expanded role in recent weeks on offense due to Atwell's absence, but hasn't done much with his opportunities, leaving the door open for Atwell to reclaim the No. 3 position at wideout for the Rams. With Davante Adams (hamstring) potentially unavailable for a pivotal Thursday night showdown against division rival Seattle, Atwell may be thrust into a much more prolific role alongside Puka Nacua if Adams is unable to go.

Active in Week 15 Atwell (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Lions.

Impact The speedy wideout will be available to Matthew Stafford for the first time since Week 7 after overcoming a hamstring injury. Atwell has been a full participant in practice for each of the past two weeks, which should alleviate some concerns about his chances for re-injury. Atwell could walk back into a role of some significance as the No. 3 receiver Sunday, considering the expected game environment against a potent Lions offense that figures to keep the pressure on Los Angeles throughout.

Tutu Atwell activated off of Injured Reserve ahead of Sunday's Week 15 game vs. Lions Rams wide receiver Tutu Atwell has been activated off of Injured Reserve for Week 15 against the Lions at SoFi Stadium.

DECEMBER 13, 2025 • THERAMS.COM

Activated from IR The Rams activated Atwell (hamstring) from injured reserve Saturday.

Impact Atwell is still listed as questionable for Sunday's tilt against the Lions, but his activation from injured reserve indicates that he'll be available to return from a six-game absence due to a hamstring injury. If he's cleared to play, Atwell will compete with Xavier Smith and Jordan Whittington for snaps at the WR3 spot behind Puka Nacua and Davante Adams (hamstring). Prior to his extended absence, Atwell caught four passes (one nine targets) for 164 yards and one touchdown across six regular-season games.

Happy Rams WR Davante Adams repeats his mostly serious plan to retire whenever Matthew Stafford does

Davante Adams is so happy in his first season with Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams that the star receiver says he plans to retire whenever his quarterback does

DECEMBER 11, 2025 • Associated Press

Coming off IR soon Rams head coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that Atwell (hamstring) will be activated from injured reserve this week, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Atwell is approaching the end of his 21-day window, which means he either needs to be activated to the roster or ruled out on IR for the rest of the season. The Rams plan to activate him, following two straight weeks of full participation in every practice. The decision not to activate Atwell earlier suggests he's unlikely to have a major role down the stretch.

McVay's illness didn't slow down the Rams. They got a healthy victory before bigger tests arrive

Sean McVay fell ill last Friday night, and he was forced to miss parts of the Los Angeles Rams’ final preparations while he traveled to Arizona separately from the team

DECEMBER 8, 2025 • Associated Press

Remaining on IR for Week 14 The Rams did not activate Atwell (hamstring) off injured reserve Saturday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Impact Atwell logged a trio of full practices this week, as he did last week after his practice window was opened Nov. 26. However, Los Angeles has decided to keep the wideout stashed on IR, possibly because the team isn't prepared to to clear an active roster spot for him. The Rams have until Dec. 17 to activate Atwell if they want him to be eligible to play again this season. For the time being at least, Xavier Smith, Jordan Whittington and Konata Mumpfield will work as the club's depth wide receivers behind the heavily targeted Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.

DECEMBER 7, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Not coming off IR this week Atwell (hamstring) won't be activated from injured reserve for Sunday's game at Arizona, Nate Atkins of The Athletic reports.

Impact Atwell has been a full practice participant for the past two weeks, so this may be the equivalent of a healthy scratch. He can practice for another week without coming off injured reserve, but the Rams will need to activate him by mid-December if he's going to play again this season. Xavier Smith, Jordan Whittington and Konata Mumpfield have all seen playing time behind Puka Nacua and Davante Adams in recent weeks.

Another full practice Atwell (hamstring) practiced in full Wednesday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Atwell now has been listed as full on four consecutive injury reports, but coach Sean McVay wouldn't commit Wednesday to the Rams activating the fifth-year pro from injured reserve, citing a numbers game, per Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register. Fortunately for the Rams, they have exactly two more weeks to make such a decision.
