Cut from practice squad Wesco was released from the Raiders' practice squad Tuesday,
Impact Wesco received an opportunity with Las Vegas on Oct. 22 via its practice unit, but his stay in Sin City will last just short of one month. The journeyman tight end played three seasons with the Jets after being drafted in 2019 before suiting up for the Bears and Titans the last two years. He will now look for a new landing spot and a chance to make his 2024 season debut elsewhere.
NOVEMBER 19, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Catches on with Las Vegas The Raiders signed Wesco to the practice squad Tuesday.
Impact Wesco has been without a team all year, but he has a chance to see game-day action with the Raiders after Harrison Bryant suffered an elbow injury during Sunday's game against the Rams. Wesco mostly served in a blocking role with the Titans in 2023, and he finished the year with one catch for 21 yards across 15 regular-season games.
OCTOBER 22, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Inactive Sunday Wesco (shin) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
Impact The third-string tight end missed the first two practices of the week before returning on a limited basis Friday. Chigoziem Okonkwo and Josh Whyle are healthy and ahead of Wesco on the depth chart, but his absence could open up some snaps for Kevin Rader.
DECEMBER 24, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Gives himself chance to play Sunday Wesco (shin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Impact Wesco was a DNP in the first two practices of the week before returning to Friday's session in a limited capacity. With Josh Whyle (knee) cleared to play Sunday, Kevin Rader figures to slot in as the third tight end if Wesco is unable to suit up.
DECEMBER 22, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Serves as No. 2 tight end Sunday Wesco went without a target across 24 snaps on offense Sunday in the Titans' 24-16 loss to the Ravens in London.
Impact Chigoziem Okonkwo remains the Titans' top tight end, but Wesco has ranked second in snap share among the position group in each of the team's six games. Wesco has drawn just two targets all season and will continue to function mostly as a blocker whenever he's on the field.
OCTOBER 17, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Slated for free agency Wesco didn't handle an offensive touch in the Bears' 29-13 loss to the Vikings in Week 18, and ended the season with two receptions for 26 yards over 14 games played.
Impact Wesco averaged about 15 snaps per game, but he was targeted four times all year. Primarily a blocker, he has eight receptions over his four-year career, and he hasn't had more than three catches in any season. He's now an unrestricted free agent.
JANUARY 9, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Ready to go Sunday Wesco (calf) is active Sunday against the Lions.
Impact Wesco will return to the field after missing the team's previous two games. He should operate as the team's No. 2 tight end and mostly as an extra blocker, behind Cole Kmet.
JANUARY 1, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Could return for Week 17 Wesco (calf) is considered questionable to play Sunday versus the Lions.
Impact Wesco has missed the last two games while nursing a calf injury, but he was able to log limited practices all week, giving him a shot to return in Week 17 against Detroit. The tight end primarily operates as a blocker in the run game, reeling in just two catches for 26 yards on four targets over 12 games this year. If he can't go Sunday, Ryan Griffin would likely continue to operate in Wesco's role.
DECEMBER 30, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Won't play vs. Bills Wesco (calf) is listed as out for Saturday's game versus Buffalo.
Impact Wesco will miss his second consecutive game as he works to recover from a calf injury he sustained in Week 13 versus Green Bay. In his absence, Ryan Griffin should see more snaps as a blocker.
DECEMBER 22, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Logs DNP Tuesday Wesco (calf) was listed as a non-participant on Tuesday's practice estimate.
Impact Wesco has been unable to partake in any action since he injured his calf against the Packers back in Week 13, and his estimation as a non-participant during Tuesday's walk-through session doesn't bode well for his chances of suiting up this weekend against the Bills. If the fourth-year pro is unable to gain medical clearance before Saturday's matchup, Ryan Griffin should once again serve as Chicago's No. 2 tight end behind Cole Kmet.
DECEMBER 20, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Ruled out Wesco (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against Philadelphia.
Impact Wesco left the Bears' Week 13 loss to Green Bay early with a calf injury and doesn't appear to have made much progress during the team's Week 14 bye. The fourth-year tight end was sidelined for each practice of Week 15 prep and has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup, marking his first absence of the season. In his stead, Ryan Griffin figures to step up as the No. 2 tight end behind Cole Kmet.
DECEMBER 16, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Sidelined in practice Thursday Wesco (calf) was listed as a non-participant on the Bears' injury report Thursday.
Impact Wesco was forced out early with a calf injury and did not return during Week 13's loss to Green Bay. The tight end has now remained sidelined following Chicago's Week 14 bye, so he could be in jeopardy of missing his first game since the season opener against San Francisco. Wesco has caught two of four targets for 26 yards over 12 games while serving as Chicago's No. 2 tight end behind Cole Kmet, so his potential absence would leave Ryan Griffin to step up into a slightly bigger role Sunday against Philadelphia.

DECEMBER 4, 2022 • Associated Press
Doubtful to return Wesco (leg) has been downgraded to doubtful to return versus the Packers on Sunday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Wesco was initially deemed questionable to return after being forced out with a leg injury early in the first quarter, and it appears he'll likely remain out for the remainder of the game. The 27-year-old has caught just two of his four passes for 26 yards so far this season, so his absence shouldn't make much of an impact in Chicago's passing game.
DECEMBER 4, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Forced out Sunday Wesco is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Packers with a leg injury.
Impact Wesco went down on the opening drive of the game and had to be helped off the field by members of Chicago's training staff, according to Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic. In his absence, expect Ryan Griffin to step in as the No. 2 tight end behind Cole Kmet.
DECEMBER 4, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Targeted once in defeat Wesco caught a three-yard pass in the Bears' 31-10 loss to the Jets on Sunday.
Impact Wesco has two catches on four targets this season, and he isn't a significant part of the Chicago passing attack, making him a player to avoid when setting weekly fantasy lineups.
NOVEMBER 28, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Doesn't record a catch Wesco was targeted once but didn't tally a reception in the Bears' 31-30 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Impact Wesco has been targeted three times this season, catching one pass for 23 yards. He's mostly used as a blocker, so unless his role changes, he won't likely be a viable fantasy option in most leagues.
NOVEMBER 14, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Justin Fields connects with Trevon Wesco for 2-point conversion Trevon Wesco hauls in the Justin Fields pass to convert on the two-point try.
NOVEMBER 6, 2022 • CHICAGOBEARS.COM
First catch with Chicago Wesco caught a 23-yard pass in the Bears' 20-12 loss to the Giants on Sunday.
Impact With Ryan Griffin (Achilles) missing the game, Wesco shared tight end targets with Cole Kmet. Including this performance, Wesco has seven receptions during his four years in the league. He'll likely continue to see occasional targets until Griffin returns to action.

Standing out in offseason practices Wesco (knee) is healthy and looking good in offseason practices after suffering a season-ending knee injury last year, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Cimini lists Wesco -- along with three other offensive players -- as under-the-radar standouts during practices this offseason. The 2019 fourth-round pick made 12 appearances last season but caught just three passes for 35 yards before suffering the knee injury. The Jets bolstered their tight end corps by signing C.J. Uzomah and Tyler Conklin in free agency and drafting Jeremy Ruckert (foot) in the third round, so despite the positive impression he's making, Wesco will still have an uphill battle for offensive snaps.
