Time up in Carolina The Panthers informed Boston of his release Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Impact Cutting Boston will save the Panthers roughly $3.5 million against the cap. The 28-year-old safety notched a career-high 95 tackles (61 solo) to go with one sack, four pass breakups and an interception across 16 games last year. Following Boston's release, free safety should be a key target for Carolina during the 2021 NFL Draft and/or free agency.
