INJURIES

Should stick around for 2021 Homer (knee) is one of three running backs under contract with the Seahawks for 2021, Lindsey Wisniewski of SI.com reports.
Impact Chris Carson, Carlos Hyde and Alex Collins can all become unrestricted free agents, while Homer, Rashaad Penny (knee) and DeeJay Dallas are still on rookie contracts. Homer, a 2019 sixth-round pick, has mostly served as a passing-down specialist to this point in his career, handling a role that emphasizes blocking. He finished 2020 on injured reserve with a knee injury, but coach Pete Carroll hinted that the 22-year-old might have bene able to return if the Seahawks had made a deep playoff run. It thus stands to reason that Homer should be healthy before the start of the offseason program in April/May, though he may end up on the roster bubble anyway.
JANUARY 21, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Could return this season Coach Pete Carroll said that Homer (knee) has an opportunity to return from injured reserve in the coming weeks, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Impact While Homer won't be eligible for reactivation during the regular season given his Dec. 19 placement on IR, the 22-year-old would be able to suit up as soon as the wild-card round. He hasn't appeared in a game since Week 10. However, Seattle could use the extra depth at running back with Carlos Hyde (illness) and DeeJay Dallas (ankle) continuing to be beleaguered by health issues of their own.
JANUARY 1, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Lands on IR Homer (knee) has been placed on IR, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Homer is set to miss the rest of the regular season, but at the same time, Seattle's backfield will get a boost down the stretch with Rashaad Penny (knee) having been activated from the PUP list Saturday.
DECEMBER 19, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Still not practicing Homer (knee) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Homer is almost exactly one month removed from his last appearance at practice (Nov. 18) as he's tended to wrist, thumb and knee injuries. Only the third issue continues to plague him, but there remains no end in sight to his recovery. If he takes a seat again Sunday at Washington, it'll mark his fifth consecutive absence.
DECEMBER 18, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Unable to practice Wednesday Homer (knee) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Homer hasn't practiced since Nov. 18, when he was also dealing with wrist and thumb injuries. The 22-year-old has distanced himself from those two issues, but the second-year running back is still bothered by a knee injury. He'll need to take the practice field by Friday to have a chance to suit up in Sunday's game against Washington. Once he's healthy, Homer could usurp DeeJay Dallas for the No. 3 running back spot due to his special-teams prowess.
DECEMBER 17, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Another absence Sunday Homer (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Jets.
Impact Homer hasn't made any appreciable progress through his knee injury as he misses a fourth consecutive contest. With Homer sidelined and Rashaad Penny (knee) still working his way back from the PUP list, the Seahawks will continue to ride Chris Carson, Carlos Hyde and DeeJay Dallas out of the backfield.

Colts have left tackle Castonzo, LB Okereke vs. Raiders

Indianapolis left tackle Anthony Castonzo and starting linebacker Bobby Okereke are both active for the Colts’ visit to the Las Vegas Raiders
DECEMBER 13, 2020 • Associated Press
Unlikely to play Sunday Homer (knee) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Jets, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Homer continues to battle the knee injury and is poised to miss his fourth consecutive contest. Chris Carson should continue to lead Seattle's backfield Week 14, with Carlos Hyde and DeeJay Dallas available as secondary options.
DECEMBER 11, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Misses another practice Homer (knee) did not practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Homer appears on track to miss a fourth consecutive contest due to injury, though he at least seems to have recovered from his wrist and thumb issues. Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (toe) are both also tending to injuries of their own, leaving DeeJay Dallas as the only fully healthy running back currently on Seattle's roster.
DECEMBER 11, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
No practice Wednesday Homer (knee) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact There's no end in sight to Homer's health concerns, which so far have forced three consecutive absences. On a positive note, he rid himself of wrist and thumb issues on Wednesday's report, leaving him with just 'knee' this week. Still, the rest of the backfield is far healthier, so the Seahawks can stand to wait it out with Homer until he's 100 percent. For the time being, the backfield will be the domain of Chris Carson (foot), with Carlos Hyde (toe) and DeeJay Dallas handling any reps that linger.
DECEMBER 10, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Another absence Sunday Homer (wrist/thumb/knee) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Giants.
Impact Homer has missed every practice the past two weeks as he deals with a trio of health concerns. As a result, he'll sit out for a third straight contest. Expect Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde (toe) to spearhead the Seahawks backfield in some way, shape or form Sunday.

QB Jones inactive for Giants; McCoy to start at Seattle

The New York Giants will be without starting quarterback Daniel Jones for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks
DECEMBER 6, 2020 • Associated Press
Unlikely to play Sunday Homer (wrist/thumb/knee) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Giants, Joe Fann of NBC Sports Northwest reports.
Impact Homer is dealing with a trio of injuries and is expected to be sidelined for the third straight game as a result. Chris Carson (foot) is clear of an injury designation and will lead Seattle's backfield Week 13.
DECEMBER 4, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
No-go in practice Thursday Homer (wrist/thumb/knee) did not participate during Thursday's practice session, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Homer has been inactive for each of Seattle's past two games, and back-to-back DNPs to commence the practice week provides doubt for his status heading into a matchup against the Giants. Chris Carson (foot) was limited Thursday while Carlos Hyde (toe) sat out, leaving rookie DeeJay Dallas as the team's only injury-free back on the active roster at the moment.
DECEMBER 4, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Misses practice Wednesday Homer (knee/wrist/thumb) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Homer continues to be listed with a trio of injuries. He's been absent from practice for over two weeks now, and he's trending toward a third straight game on the sidelines. Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (toe) handled all the backfield reps in last week's win over the Eagles and figure to do the same in Week 13 against the Giants if Homer can't play.

Seahawks, Eagles both missing their starting right tackles

The Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles are both missing their starting right tackles for Monday night's game
DECEMBER 1, 2020 • Associated Press
Ruled out ahead of Monday Homer (wrist/thumb/knee) will not play Monday against the Eagles, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Impact Homer never managed to practice at any point this week, so it's hardly a surprising designation. DeeJay Dallas could operate in the pass-catching role with Homer sidelined, although the return of Chris Carson (foot) likely means any other Seahawks back seeing the field is mainly operating in a relief capacity as opposed to schematic design.
NOVEMBER 28, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
No practice Friday Homer (wrist/thumb/knee) didn't practice Friday, Joe Fann of NBC Sports Northwest reports.
Impact Homer is quite banged up at the moment, tending to a trio of injuries. Coach Pete Carroll called Homer "really sore" on Tuesday and noted the running back's wrist in particular as bothersome, according to Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle. The Seahawks may welcome back Chris Carson (foot) to the backfield Monday in Philadelphia, so a cautious approach could be taken with Homer as he continues to recover.
NOVEMBER 28, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
No go Thursday Homer (wrist/thumb/knee) was listed as a non-participant on Thursday's estimated injury report, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Impact On Tuesday, coach Pete Carroll relayed Homer is "really sore" and has "a little something going on in his wrist," per Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle. Considering Homer is listed with wrist, thumb and knee concerns for a second straight week, it's no wonder that the second-year running back is hurting at the moment. With Carlos Hyde and DeeJay Dallas healthy, and Chris Carson (foot) seemingly closing in on his first game action since Week 7, the Seahawks can opt to be cautious with Homer. Saturday's injury report may be telling for Homer's odds to suit up Monday in Philadelphia.
NOVEMBER 26, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Tending to sore knee, wrist injury Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday that Homer (knee) is still "really sore" and also has "a little something going on in his wrist," Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950...
Impact Carroll didn't make any mention of Homer's thumb, which had also been one of the three injuries that sidelined the running back in last week's win over the Cardinals. That said, Carroll hinted that Homer might need some time to overcome the knee and wrist concerns, which seemingly isn't a positive sign with regards to his chances of playing Monday in Philadelphia. Fortunately for Seattle, lead back Chris Carson (foot) looks on track to return from a four-game absence this week, providing some much-needed aid to a banged-up backfield.

Seahawks without Carson again, but Tyler Lockett active

The Seattle Seahawks will be without running back Chris Carson and Travis Homer, but will have wide receiver Tyler Lockett against the Arizona Cardinals
NOVEMBER 20, 2020 • Associated Press
Doubtful with trio of injuries Homer (wrist/knee/thumb) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Cardinals, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.
Impact Homer's myriad injuries are more likely than not to sideline him. Fellow running back Chris Carson (foot) is listed as questionable, leaving Carlos Hyde and DeeJay Dallas as the only running backs off Seattle's injury report heading into the key clash between NFC West rivals.
NOVEMBER 18, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Maintains limited participation Homer (wrist/knee/thumb) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Impact The wrist injury was a new addition to Tuesday's injury report, but the 22-year-old running back was a limited participant for the second straight day anyway. If he's able to play through his various knocks, Homer's offensive role will diminish profoundly because Carlos Hyde (hamstring) is set to return Thursday against the Cardinals, while Chris Carson (foot) is making good progress toward a return of his own.
NOVEMBER 18, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Listed as limited Homer (knee/thumb) is listed as a limited participant on Monday's injury report, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Impact Homer was forced out of Sunday's loss to the Rams due to a foot injury, so it's encouraging to see that the Seahawks already believe he's ready to resume practicing. With Chris Carson (foot) still sidelined and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) limited, it's possible that Homer could get another chance to draw increased usage if he's healthy enough to face the Cardinals on Thursday.
