Signs with Dolphins' practice squad Miami signed Ellis to its practice squad Monday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.

Impact Ellis was set to miss the entire 2022 campaign after being placed on the Dolphins' injured reserve list in August, but he eventually agreed to an injury settlement with Miami and now has made his way back onto the practice squad. With Byron Jones (ankle) on the reserve/PUP list and Xavien Howard (groin) having missed Sunday's loss at the Jets, Ellis already could be on a short path to being elevated.

Heads to South Beach Ellis (undisclosed) inked a contract with Miami's practice squad Thursday, per the NFL's official transaction page.

Impact Ellis was let go by the Saints with an injury settlement this offseason with an undisclosed injury, but he appears to be back to full health. The Maryland product will look to make a push for a 53-man roster spot around the league, as he's yet to suit up in regular season action in the NFL.

Reverts to injured reserve Ellis has reverted to the Saints' injured reserve list after being waived/injured earlier this week, Amie Just of NOLA.com reports.

Impact Ellis passed through waivers without being claimed so he'll remain on the Saints injured reserve list for the season. The cornerback was competing for a depth role on the team before suffering his undisclosed injury.
